The seller of this home originally wanted to do a big renovation of the kitchen before listing the home for sale. However, updating only the kitchen would leave the rest of the house mismatched and outdated.
Instead, Caron and Doug Davis, Broker-in-Charge, advised the client to get a pre-home inspection and address the items of greatest concern. We focused on the things would be most likely to deter potential buyers like electrical problems, hazards, and foundation issues.
Then we had the home emptied and cleaned and put on a fresh coat of paint. We also had a land survey done, from which we learned that we could clear some of the vegetation in the yard to take advantage of its full size.
