As noted by the Honolulu Board of REALTORS®’s report, “‘In 2023, O‘ahu’s housing market felt the acute impact of rising mortgage rates and limited inventory,’ said Fran Gendrano, president of the Honolulu Board of REALTORS®. ‘The cooling market activity we first experienced in 2022 carried over in 2023, as sales volume continued to mellow out compared to the frenzy we saw during the COVID-19 pandemic.'”
While the market was down more than 25% overall, our team business at Caron B Realty nearly matched our sales volume from 2022 and surpassed that from 2022. The 2023 median price in the luxury market was $2,450,000, while the median luxury price at Caron B Realty was $3,650,000.
